Playing with Plugins
Having seen other sites with currently reading sections on their sites, I wanted one too. I found two plugins ‘Current Book’ and ‘Currently Reading’. Current Book was non-functioning, missing a file presumably. It looked to be more what I was looking for overall will update when I get it fixed.
I tried using Currently Reading, a very simple plugin to display 2 lines of text. I added an <img> tag to display the book cover. It looked good but I could only do one book at a time.
I eventually ended up dumping it and going to a simple text widget with html tages to format it.
